Hosted by TechBirmingham Women in Technology (BWIT), Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Central Alabama Affiliate, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), and Birmingham Tech Council this event brings together industry, academia, and professionals to strengthen our region’s tech talent pipeline.

Call for Speakers
We are now accepting speaker proposals for the 2026 Elevate & Empower Tech Event, hosted by Birmingham Women in Technology (BWIT), WiCyS Central Alabama, Birmingham Tech Council (BTC) and UAB. This full-day event brings together students, early-career professionals, mid-level talent, and senior leaders for a dynamic day of learning, mentorship, and networking focused on growing Alabama's tech workforce.
The conference will be held on February 19, 2026 at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center (1090 Montgomery Hwy, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216).
We are seeking engaging speakers and facilitators for panels, workshops, and interactive sessions on topics including (but not limited to):
- Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI
- Tech career paths, transitions, and professional growth
- Cybersecurity trends and standards
- Mentorship, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Job readiness and workplace survival strategies
